Our editorial approach
Recipes should give you the whole plan.
Simple Home Dish is an independent recipe publication for home cooks who want straightforward instructions before the pan gets hot. The collection brings together everyday American meals, homemade bakes, and clearly labeled recipes inspired by Italian, French, Mediterranean, Mexican, Middle Eastern, and Argentine cooking.
What every recipe aims to answer
A useful recipe needs more than an ingredient list. Pages include US measurements, timing, pan or equipment details when they affect the result, step-by-step directions, doneness cues, storage guidance, realistic variations, and answers to common problems.
The site is written for a US home kitchen, but it does not present adaptations as original or definitive versions of another culture's food. Labels such as “Italian-inspired” or “Mexican-inspired” are intentional.
How content is reviewed
Recipes are checked for consistency between the ingredient list and method, timing math, temperatures, serving information, and food-safety guidance. Cooking times remain estimates because appliances, pans, ingredient temperature, and measuring technique vary.
Simple Home Dish does not invent reader endorsements, popularity claims, credentials, or testing history. When a page changes materially, its updated date changes with it.
Cooking and food safety
Doneness descriptions are paired with temperatures where they matter. For meat and leftovers, follow the temperatures in the recipe and current guidance from FoodSafety.gov. Readers with allergies or medical dietary needs should check product labels and seek qualified advice for their own circumstances.
About the images
Each of the 22 current recipes has a distinct image. Most are direct or close matches from a culinary image collection available to this project. When an exact photograph is not available, the recipe labels the image as representative rather than implying it shows the finished dish.
Corrections and questions
Useful feedback includes the recipe name, pan size, substitutions, and the step where the result differed. Send recipe questions, corrections, image-rights questions, or editorial feedback to contact@simplehomedish.com. You can also review the cooking guides before starting.
